I found a major jewel tonight. Please skip this post if you do not have a sense of humor. God must have one, or how else would we be inspired to compose such glorious music in his name? In no particular order, here are the 4 best songs of all time. We will be doing each at Crossroads Church this Sunday (including choreography) so learn them now so you can come sing along. Please vote in the comment section on who is #1…
Nominee #1 – “Jesus is My Friend” by Sonseed
Nominee #2 – “Nu Thang” by dancing kid
Nominee #3 – “Looking for a City”
And the treasure that just came to me on Facebook, Nominee #4 (you have to listen to the whole thing) – Untitled
- Ep. 111: Rev. Dr. Michael Carrion – Pastoral Thoughts on Mass Deportation and this Cultural Moment - February 17, 2025
- How You Can Tangibly Help Refugees in Your City - February 12, 2025
- A Biblical Understanding of Romans 13, “Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities…” - February 6, 2025
Nominee #1 !!!
Good choice. I think Curt looks a lot like that lead singer. The question is: does he have his moves?
We will find out Sunday!
Someone on my Facebook page votes “#3 all the way”, so the current tally is Sonseed 1, Looking for a City 1, the rest 0. Let’s get some more votes in here! For me, it is a super tough call. It’s like trying to pick which of your 4 kids you love the most. Or which donut tastes the best. I’m going to need to pray and meditate for discernment on this decision for a while.
#1 – It’s so bad it’s good. All of the rest are so bad that they’re just really bad.
I laughed so hard when I watched these videos. Definitely # 3. At the very least the others are in key (of some kind). #4 has to be a joke
#3 for how he keeps giving irritated looks at the pianist, and for his humbleness in the intro
Current tally is: Sonseed 3, Looking for a City 3, all else 0. Looking for a City’s pre-song commentary is by far the best thing I’ve ever heard, but everytime I watch the Sonseed song, I discover something new and amazing I didn’t notice before. As if God speaks to me in a new way each time I watch it. Considering I just changed my Facebook profile picture to the lead singer’s face, I VOTE FOR NOMINEE #1! Sonseed takes the lead 4-3! And as for Nominee #4, I honestly don’t think that’s a joke. That woman has some PASSION that I don’t is fake-able.
#3 is perfect….cant..stop..laughing. I grew up in a small bible church and this is EXACTLY what “special music” in church was like!
it’s all tied up, 4-4…
I know I am late to the vote here but #3 is perfect. Not even close.
Looking for a City takes the lead 5-4!! this is a nail-biter! this is the real March Madness, right here!
