Firefighter Dennis Rodeman was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Lansing. He was killed while collecting donations for a muscular dystrophy charity. You can read the full Lansing State Journal story here.
Rodeman had been married for two months and his wife is pregnant.
There will be a gathering today at 4:00pm at the 120 E Shiawassee St, Lansing, MI Fire Department to show support for Dennis Rodeman’s wife and family. It is simply a way to show his family how we much our Lansing community cares for them. There is no agenda except to be present in solidarity and silence, and to offer a chance to give donations to the family.
This is not a Crossroads Church event, we are just showing our support as well as added the fundraiser element to it. The event is being organized by some employees at Peckham.
We are accepting donations at Crossroads Church that we will send to Mr. Rodeman’s wife. We will be collecting them at 4pm today. You can make a tax deductible donation by writing a check to “Crossroads Church” and writing “Rodeman family” in your memo line. You can also write a check directly to the Rodeman family if you prefer and we will deliver it for you. You can also give a tax deductible gift online using the Crossroads Church PayPal link below, writing “Rodeman family” in the Designation box:
