All too often we waste our scars.
We endure pain and we inflict pain.
We are scarred.
Jesus’ grace makes us whole.
But we hide the scars.
Ashamed.
Afraid.
The scars don’t go away. We can’t erase our memories.
But once we’re made whole, our scars are no longer scars, they are trophies of grace. Trophies that declare the victory of Jesus over sin, over addiction, over betrayal.
That grace has made me whole, and it can make you whole too.
That there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1).
And to reach others with this grace, we have to show our scars. We have to reveal the trophies of Jesus’ victory.
This is what I love about the I Am Second website.
It’s what I love about Zacchaeus in Luke 19:1-10.
It’s what I love about our church and the new “Scars to Trophies” banner on our wall…
Be inspired.
Inspire.
Share your story.
Shine the light of how Jesus has healed you.
Don’t waste your scars.
Jesus didn’t waste his.
