Hi everyone, my new book ‘Shelter in the Storm: 40 Psalms on God’s Faithfulness’ releases on September 1st and I’m hoping you’ll join the launch team to help get the message into more people’s hands and hearts. A supportive launch team is the catalyst for a chain reaction of people discovering the book, and Lord willing, being shaped and transformed by it as they spend devotional time with God.
Free Webinar: Dealing with Pornography in Everyday Discipleship
I’m doing a free webinar titled “Dealing with Pornography in Everyday Discipleship” with The Center for Faith, Sexuality, & Gender today, February 5th, at 2:00pm Eastern Time.
This will be a great equipping resource for anyone in their discipleship, but especially for pastors and ministry leaders. If you’re not a pastor, invite yours to register. The webinar will give them ideas and things to consider regarding discipleship around pornography in your church, with realistic and approachable ways of taking first steps as a church and an individual.
How You Can Tangibly Help Refugees in Your City
These past few weeks have been heavy for many of us. I personally have been involved with refugee resettlement since 2007 because of the Bible’s command to help the foreigner, oppressed, and poor, and have many friends who are refugees, including friends in our Mosaic family! While prayer and advocacy are important, God has led me to make sure that I, and we as a church, are also hands-on in helping real people living in our communities during this crisis. I need this in order to get my heart and mind above the noise and make sure I’m being a real part of the solution, not just talking about it.

Psalm 12 Devotional – You Are Not Alone
Sometimes I think it can’t get any worse than it is right now. Or that it’s never been this bad. Psalm 12:8 reminds me that it’s been this way for thousands of years. On one hand, that sure is a discouraging thought on its own. But despite humankind’s obsession with and acceptance of evil, hope and encouragement come from knowing God has remained faithful all this time. If the evil of the past hasn’t knocked God out, the evil of the present sure isn’t going to either. God has remained on the throne. God cares about the needy and the oppressed. God will judge the wicked. God is and always has been worthy of our praise, adoration, and obedience.
