Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Samuel 14:6 Perhaps the LORD will act in our behalf. Nothing can hinder the LORD from saving, whether by many or by few.”
Romans 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
1 Corinthians 15:55, 57 “Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?” … But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 John 5:4-5 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
What has God put on your heart?
Why aren’t you doing it?
What typically holds us back is fear. Fear of what others will think of us. Fear of not looking cool. Fear of rejection. Fear of failing. What is failure anyway?
Write the song.
Start the band.
Make the record.
Start the schooling.
Move.
Propose.
Talk to that hurting person. That one. The one God is telling you to go to. Right now.
Confess.
Broadcast your testimony. All of it. Broadcast forgiveness.
Give.
Commit.
Who cares if you get criticized?
Who cares what people think?
1 Corinthians 4:3-5 I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself… It is the Lord who judges me…wait till the Lord comes…At that time each will receive his praise from God.
Who cares if one person reads your material or one million read it? Either way there are billions and billions who will never read it. That’s not the point. The point is to get past the fear. That you get past the enslavement of others’ power over you. To know your identity is so strong in Christ that earthly “success” or “failure” doesn’t change an inch of who you are.
Afraid of failing? There is good news: Jesus has already won…and he lets you be on his team. You can’t fail.
